Industrial Tanks and Reactors for Agitation and Mixing

Overview

Industrial tanks and reactors are equipment designed for the storage, mixing and processing of fluids in chemical, pharmaceutical and food operations. With a capacity of up to 10,000 liters, an industrial process tank guarantees perfect homogenization and thermal control necessary for complex reactions, being developed to achieve maximum performance and durability.

For 15 years in the industrial agitation and mixing solutions market, Agimix develops tailor-made projects to increase the efficiency of your plant. We manufacture everything from the stainless steel mixing tank to the complete industrial process reactor, integrating high-performance agitation systems that guarantee excellent productivity by combining technology and robustness.

For processes that require a high degree of asepsis, such as in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, our pharmaceutical reactor with magnetic stirrer offers total safety against contamination. It is important to highlight that, for large operations such as sugar and ethanol plants, petrochemical plants and mining companies, we do not manufacture giant reservoirs, but we supply the agitation and circulation system sized to be installed in the tank that the customer already has, guaranteeing the same technical excellence.

In addition to traditional configurations, we design modular units such as the process skid with polypropylene agitator tanks, ideal for preparing corrosive solutions. Whether integrating masseiras for dispersion or pots, bins and containers with high shear pumps for clump breaking and process recirculation, we deliver the complete mixing project for your needs.

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers to the most common questions about this equipment and its application.

What is an industrial mixing tank and what is it for?

The industrial mixing tank is a vessel designed to homogenize, disperse or suspend fluids and solids. It serves to ensure that the mixture reaches the correct viscosity and composition, and is widely used in the chemical, food and cosmetic industries to standardize production.

What is the difference between a stirred tank and a process reactor?

The main difference is that the industrial process reactor is designed to support chemical reactions under strictly controlled conditions of pressure and temperature. While the tank focuses primarily on physical mixing, the reactor has complex heat exchange and reinforced sealing systems to ensure the safety of the reaction.

Does Agimix manufacture large tanks for plants and mining companies?

We do not manufacture large-scale tanks for these sectors, as our own line of tanks goes up to 10,000 liters. For plants, petrochemical plants and mining companies, we supply the complete agitation and circulation system, custom designed to be installed in the large tank that the customer already has.

What materials are used in the manufacture of pharmaceutical reactors?

We use high purity alloys, mainly 316L stainless steel, due to its excellent resistance to corrosion and ease of sanitization. For special processes that require a high degree of asepsis, the pharmaceutical reactor with magnetic stirrer eliminates the need for conventional mechanical seals, avoiding any risk of contamination.

Is it possible to integrate the tank into a modular process system?

Yes, we design and assemble the complete process skid, which integrates the tank, pumps, piping and control panel into a single modular structure. This solution, which can include polypropylene agitator tanks or stainless steel, greatly facilitates installation and start-up at the customer's plant.

How does the breaking of lumps work in very viscous mixtures?

Lump breaking is carried out through the integration of high shear pumps or cowle dispersers directly into the mixing system. We use pots, bins and containers coupled to these pumps to ensure continuous recirculation of the process and obtaining a perfectly smooth and homogeneous dough.

Do industrial tanks have a temperature control system?

Yes, our tanks and reactors can be equipped with heating or cooling jackets, in half-round or full-length format. This thermal control is essential for chemical and food processes that require maintaining a strict temperature throughout the batch.

What are industrial massagers and when to use them?

Agimix's masseiras are robust equipment specifically designed for the dispersion and industrial mixing of very high viscosity products. They are recommended when a conventional agitator cannot move the heavy mass, being ideal for the manufacture of plastic masses, adhesives, sealants and dense compounds.
